Defining the MVP Scope

Our initial mission was to establish Not Alien as a user-friendly platform simplifying the complexities of global immigration. Collaborating closely with cross-functional everyone in the company, I conducted research, analyzed competitor landscapes, and defined the core functionalities for the MVP. This involved:

  • User Persona Development: Understanding the diverse needs and pain points of our target audience, from aspiring international students to professionals seeking career opportunities abroad.

  • Information Architecture & User Flow: Crafting intuitive navigation and logical user journeys, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the immigration process.

  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Translating concepts into visual representations, iterating based on user feedback to refine the MVP's core functionalities.

Building the Brand and Public Website

Brand Identity Development: Collaborating with designers and branding specialists to create a visual language that resonated with our target audience, conveying the brand values we developed together in this early stage of the company.

Website Design & Development: Designing and prototyping the website, ensuring clarity, consistency, and user-friendliness across all platforms and devices.

The website was a great opportunity for us to further develop our visual language, which can bee seen currently at the company's website.

Testing, Analyzing, and Optimizing

Following the website launch, we meticulously tracked user behavior and conversion rates throughout the product funnel. This data-driven approach involved:

  • Experimentation: Testing different design variations to identify user preferences and optimize conversion points.

  • Analytics & Data Visualization: Analyzing user interactions and conversion bottlenecks to gain insights into user behavior and identify areas for improvement.

  • Iterative Design: Implementing data-driven design decisions to enhance the user experience and increase conversion rates.

This real world data that we constantly collect helps guide us by defining our priorities when deciding where to focus next, what are our immediate goals, and check how each audience responds to our product's initiatives.

Since this is an ongoing project, there is no conclusion to this story yet.
